The Oneonta Business Association believes the best way to invest in our city's future is to invest in our children.
In 2021 the OBA created the VolunTeen Scholarship award for one deserving graduating senior at Oneonta High School. Since that time, our award has grown to three scholarships. This program is open to all Oneonta High School seniors in the Class of 2024 and shall be awarded on the basis of volunteerism and all-around community spirit.
The OBA will award the following scholarships in 2024:
First Place, 1000.00.
Second Place, 750.00 and
Third Place 500.00.
Scholarship applications will be released February 1, 2024 with a deadline of April 1, 2024.
We would like to increase the number of scholarships as well as the award amounts, naming each scholarship in honor of their donors. We are looking for businesses and individuals willing to partner with us to make higher education attainable for OHS students with an ultimate goal of bringing more business to the City of Oneonta. Please share!

Sponsored by the OBA, this scholarship program is open to all Oneonta High School seniors in the Class of 2024 and shall be awarded on the basis of volunteerism and all-around community spirit. Please complete (PRINT) and sign the application form in its entirety. You may include any supporting materials you wish to be considered for your application, as well as a headshot photo. You must also submit two letters of support as detailed below. Deadline for application is April 01, 2024. The three top contenders will receive a $500, $750 or a $1,000 cash scholarship to help cover any college expenses, all three scholarships will be presented at OHS Awards Day!
