Individuals, organizations, and businesses are invited to decorate storefronts, yards, and structures within the city limits of Oneonta and in the business zone to compete for awards.  There is no fee to enter. Let's knock it out of the park this Christmas season!  To sign up Click Here

Movie With Santa at The Neely Theater, Friday November 29th, 5pm

Kick off the OBA Tree Lighting Ceremony / City Christmas Mrkt with a Movie with Santa at the Neely Theater! Join us Friday, November 29th at 5 PM for a special showing of Smurfs: A Christmas Carol. This short, 30-minute movie is perfect for the whole family. Don't miss a cozy movie with Santa! Plan a short walk to the Gazebo after the movie to attend the Tree Lighting commencement at 6pm and shop for the perfect gift at the City Christmas Market!

Gazebo Area at 1st Ave @ 4th St, (5 pm to 8 pm)
Lighting Countdown will commence at 6 pm sharp! 
The City Christmas Market will be set-up around the gazebo.
​Christmas Shopping from a variety of unique arts & craft's booths, Turkey Legs, Two Horse-Drawn Carriages available for free rides through downtown Oneonta, Santa Claus, Beautifully Decorated 30Ft Christmas Tree, Holiday Music, Hand Bell Performers, Festive Firetruck Rides by the Oneonta Fire Department, SNOW, and much more! 

Palisades Park December 1-31, 2024
4th Annual Christmas Spectacular @ Palisades Park
1225 Palisades Parkway, Oneonta, 5-9 pm,  December 1 - 31, 2024 
​Displays by local businesses, churches, civic groups, individuals, and park staff are available for your viewing pleasure. Bring a carload!  Free admission!  Note:  Closed December 24-25 so that our park staff and volunteers can enjoy Christmas with their families.  Donations for upkeep and the power bill are accepted inside the park.

Downtown Oneonta, Gazebo Area on 1st Ave & 4th Street, Oneonta 

Experience the spirit of the season while you shop for that perfect gift. Restaurants will be open so bring the entire family and make an evening of it. Jingle through downtown in Free Horse-Drawn Carriage Rides through downtown Oneonta. Santa Claus will be available at the Meltdown from 5-8 pm for photos. Professional photos from Katie Phillips Photography or free cell phone photos available. OHS Singers to perform at the Angel Wings at 6pm.

Interactive Live Nativity Scene at the Gazebo. Agape Academy Homeschool Band will perform from 5pm to 6pm and the OHS Marching Band will perform at 6pm at the Angel Wings/ Gazebo.
